We are going through the Indian Summer-late summer. It's a seasonal interchange ruled by the element of Earth (according the 5 elements theory of Cinese Medicine). It's a transition from yang to yin. Choose foods that are harmonizing and represent the center. Food should be prepared simply, with a minimum of seasoning and a mild taste.
An earth food is chantarelle mushrooms and other fungus. you can see the nutritional value
The seasonal interchanges are traditional times of purification in many cultures. A short -perhaps 2 or 3 day- single-grain fast during the fall and winter interchanges and a vegetable or fruit on the cusps of spring and summer, bring one to the 'center' during seasonal transitions. If you have any health issues or taking medication, consult your physician before you begin fasting.
Earth foods are all sweet and starchy foods, yellow, orange and brown foods and root vegetables and very sweet soft fruits.
Sweet potato is a good exaple of an earth food, see the nutritional value here:
Common Potato is another alternative of earth food. Cooked organic potatoes with skin are a good source of many vitamins and minerals, such as potassium and vitamin C.

Grapes, peaches, bananas are good choise for this transitional season that lasts until the automnal equinox (22 September). Make a smoothie or a fruit salad or eat them separately
Grapes are very good source of vit. C and vit.K among with other nutrients
Peaches packed with vitamins and antioxidants (vit.A, vit.C, etc). The fresher and riper the fruit, the more antioxidants contains.Fresh and canned peaches seem to have similar amounts of vitamins and minerals. Peaches may contribute to healthy digestion.
Bananas contain a fair amount of fiber, as well as several antioxidants. Are rich in vit B6, copper and manganese. After meals reduce appetite by slowing the emptying of your stomach thanks to resistant starch, which acts like soluble fiber and escapes digestion.
