{1.30} There are nine types of interruptions to developing mental clarity:

  1. illness

  2. mental stagnation

  3. doubts

  4. lack of foresight

  5. fatigue

  6. overindulgence

  7. illusions about one's state of mind

  8. lack of perseverance

  9. and regression

 

They are obstacles because they create mental disturbances and encourage distractions.
